This is the first one I used this year to introduce Number Sense with must students!
I had them copy these into their journals as we did the investigations!
They totally loved the angry birds! I started a little theme with them for Number Sense!
I am not posting in order as we did them, but since we are done with Number Sense, I am just posting everything at one time! ENJOY!
On to our next unit: Ratio and Proportions! I decided to do a Lego theme with this unit!
Thanks so much for this!!!
ReplyDeleteNo problem!!
ReplyDeleteI will be using these with my math class review next week! Thanks so much for sharing. These are great.
ReplyDeleteThese really are awesome! Thank you for sharing!!! :-) I have been skeptical about putting too much up on my walls because I don't want students to depend on the walls during testing, but these will be helpful to get them to the point of testing.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the tune for the adding song?
ReplyDeleteSung to row row row your boat.
Deletesame sign add and keep
different sign subtract

ReplyDeleteIs this a complete list of anchor charts for 7th grade?

ReplyDeleteDo the students create these in their journals themselves or do you provide some sort of template to fill in and color? These looks great! I'm just trying to anticipate and trouble shoot potential issues. Please share from your experience.
ReplyDeleteI let them copy them as they are. If they want to add the decoration that I added to the charts then I let them. If I have some slower writers or copiers, I have a printed copy already for them to just tape into their journals.
DeleteI have been teaching for 10 yrs. However, this year is my 1st year teaching MS Math. These charts you have shared calmed me down. Thank you soooo much!!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Huge help for my girl
ReplyDeletethis is very helpful. I thank the people who post these for other teachers like me. I am a teacher in math and I like to use mini charts because it helps my students for their studies as well as myself when I teach them.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of anchor charts. I would be careful with strategies like butterfly fractions. That kind of method is really just a trick. As kids advance into algebra it is not useful as they need the concept of how to create common denominators in algebra 2, precalculus and beyond.
ReplyDeleteOn the number line, I would change Smaller to less than as smaller is proximity to zero rather than closer to negative infinity. Think of owing $100,000 verse owing $1. You wouldnt say you own a smaller amount of money because -100,000 < -1
ReplyDeleteMoney can't negative like distance both are positive only consider the numerical value ignore the sign.its only for number representation.
