7th Grade Math Anchor Charts

I decided to have my 7th grade Pre Algebra students use anchor charts this year. I didn't think I would like them or my kids, but they absolutely love them. It probably has helped that I have added pictures and made them colorful! I feel like I should share that I have used and made with everyone. Pre Algebra ones are hard to find!

This is the first one I used this year to introduce Number Sense with must students!
I had them copy these into their journals as we did the investigations!

They totally loved the angry birds! I started a little theme with them for Number Sense!

I am not posting in order as we did them, but since we are done with Number Sense, I am just posting everything at one time! ENJOY!

On to our next unit: Ratio and Proportions! I decided to do a Lego theme with this unit!

  2. These really are awesome! Thank you for sharing!!! :-) I have been skeptical about putting too much up on my walls because I don't want students to depend on the walls during testing, but these will be helpful to get them to the point of testing.

      same sign add and keep
      different sign subtract
keep the sign of the larger number then you'll be exact.

  11. Do the students create these in their journals themselves or do you provide some sort of template to fill in and color? These looks great! I'm just trying to anticipate and trouble shoot potential issues. Please share from your experience.

    1. I let them copy them as they are. If they want to add the decoration that I added to the charts then I let them. If I have some slower writers or copiers, I have a printed copy already for them to just tape into their journals.

  15. Wow! These are great. I'm looking forward to becoming a middle school math teacher. I need to take and pass the Praxis II Middle School Mathematics Exam 5169 first.
